With a lecture by Ernst Falzeder: “Sigmund Freud and His Families in Vienna” (in German)
Moderated by Christine Diercks
The conference lecture "Sigmund Freud and his Families in Vienna" by Ernst Falzeder at 7 p.m. marks the beginning of the Farewell for the "Old" Sigmund Freud Museum, which will only be open until 28 February. From March 2019, the now 47-year-old Museum in Freud's former practice and apartment premises will close for renovation and extension until the reopening in May 2020. In the meantime, a new exhibition in the Museum’s temporary quarters at Berggasse 13 just a few steps away, will inform about life and work of Sigmund Freud, carrying the title “Moving Freud”.
Say goodbye together with us and visit the permanent exhibition at Berggasse 19 for the last time. The special exhibition PARALLEL ACTIONS. Freud and the Writers of Young Vienna will be on display as well.
The Museum rooms will be opened directly after the lecture. Click here for information about the conference The Family Romance – Symbolic Structures or New Forms?
