During the closing time of the Sigmund Freud Museum, moving freud museum informs in two locations in close vicinity: In the Berggasse 13 (location I) a presentation by means of original objects as well as film and photo admissions offers insights into life and work of the founder of the psychoanalysis. In Liechtensteinstrasse 19 (location II) a well sorted book shop and museum shop expects you in the ambience of a 1950s café. Moreover, here films are shown and events are held.
In 2019 und 2020, Berggasse 19 will undergo necessary construction in order to preserve its physical presence and cultural heritage for future generations and to improve the ways in which the museum and its collections are presented to the public. From March 2019 the museum in Berggasse 19 will be closed. By that time you can visit the moving freud museum in Berggasse 13 and Liechtensteinstraße 19. Just a few steps away from Freud’s former premises, an exhibition with original furnishings, objects and images gives visitors a glimpse into the life and work of the founder of psychoanalysis. Films, a museum shop and a café enhance the exhibition experience until the museum's reopening in May of 2020 at Berggasse 19.
