	Freud is elected Honorary Member of the British Royal Society of Medicine.
	The Four Nation Conference of Hungarian, Italian, Czech and Austrian analysts takes place in Vienna.

	At the request of Fischer Press Freud writes a letter for the Festschrift for Thomas Mann on his 60th birthday. He ends it with the words: "... I wish to express the confidence that you will never do or say anything - an author's words, after all, are deeds - that is cowardly or base, and that even at a time which blurs judgement you will choose the right way and show it to others." [SF-Thomas Mann 6.6.1935]
	His article The Subtelties of a Faulty Action is published in the Almanach of Psychoanalysis.
	The American writer Thornton Wilder visits Freud and discusses with him the difficulty of relating modern art to psychoanalysis.
