A View from Outside

In 2002 the museum initiated an additional area of artistic activity through the acquisition of the building’s storefront, which once housed Siegmund Kornmehl's kosher butcher shop. In cooperation with the Society of Friends of the Fine Arts, the Sigmund Freud Museum here presented up to now installations of Joseph Kosuth, Louise Bourgeois and Clegg & Guttmann.

A View from Outside - Continued

In 2005, three well-known international artists developed works for the storefront in the house Berggasse 19 following Joseph Kosuth, Louise Bourgeois, and Clegg & Guttmann, to establish the exhibision series "A View from Outside - continued". Ernesto Neto, Joan Jonas, and Monika Sosnowska were invited to refer to the historic circumstances of the buildung and actual relations to psychoanalysis.
