LocationHosting Events at the Sigmund Freud MuseumThe Sigmund Freud Museum offers three spaces of varying dimensions for your event. Make use of this unusual opportunity and give your guests a chance to experience the unique atmosphere of the historical site where Sigmund Freud lived and worked. The SpacesLoungeWith ca. 110 m2, the spacious Lounge on the ground floor at Berggasse 19 is suited for gatherings of up to 120 persons. With its large window front (the space can also be darkened) and its reduced modern design, it is perfect for events of all sorts. There is an adjoining catering area that can also be used as a cloakroom.Event HallThe museum’s Event Hall was created by combining three rooms of the Freud family’s former apartment – the living room, the dining room and the parlor of Minna Bernays, Sigmund Freud’s sister-in-law. With modern technical equipment (sound system, microphone) and a mobile dividing wall (total floor space 80 m2), the Hall is a practical location for conferences, discussions or celebrations in the historic atmosphere of the Freud apartment.LibraryThe Library reading room is particularly suited for small-scale events such as seminars, workshops and presentations. Located in Freud’s private apartment and modernly furnishings, it provides an ideal setting for events with up to 20 participants.Technical EquipmentAll spacesvideo projector Event Hall sound system including a handheld microphone Lounge: sound system for hire upon request Access to the Sigmund Freud Museum can be provided for the duration of the event beyond the museum’s usual opening hours until 10 p.m. ConditionsThe spaces can be rented between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. We would be happy to inform you about special offers, such as an exclusive guided tour of Sigmund Freud’s former office or special art tours through the Sigmund Freud Museum Contemporary Art Collection. For further information or to reserve a date, please contact: Peter Noemaier Sigmund Freud Foundation Berggasse 19 1090 Vienna, Austria T: +43-1- 319 1596-21 F: +43-1- 317 0279 p.noemaier@freud-museum.at
